My name is Michael Wojtychiw and I’m a sports journalist based out of Chicago. since 2008, I’ve been covering high school sports, first for the Chicago Sun-Times and most recently as a sports editor for 22nd Century Media, a newspaper company that was based on Chicago’s North Shore until it’s closing in March 2020.

I’m a life-long Chicagoan and graduated from the University of Missouri in 2008. One thing that has truly developed over that time has been the passion for the sport of lacrosse. As one of the fastest-growing sports in the country and a booming sport in Illinois, there’s no true coverage of the sport like there is for pretty much every other sport. With that, the idea for this site hatched.
